My Journey

As a young child I knew I was going to be an artist. My first foray was copying The Cat In The Hat images using crayons on drawing paper that my mom bought. Thank you mom. I was always the class artist going through school.

In college I obtained a degree in Commercial Art, got married and started oil and watercolor painting. And as luck would have it one of my first decent paintings was accepted into The Society of Western Artists Biennial Show. Wow, that was cool. What wasn’t cool was a long pause in my art career to pursue a few other ventures…construction field, toy design, email marketing and website design. Sigh…

But…thank God for my beautiful wife who encouraged me to begin my art career again, and here I am. Loving what I’m doing, painting still life’s and landscapes.

As an artist captivated by the beauty of the natural world, I find endless inspiration in the serene simplicity of still life’s and the breathtaking vistas of landscapes. Through my work, I seek to capture the essence of these subjects and invite viewers to pause, contemplate, and appreciate the quiet moments that often go unnoticed in our fast-paced lives.
